About The Fish

The YOAdrien trolls lake Winnipesaukee for 3 species of fish in particular. Landlocked Atlantic Salmon, Rainbow Trout and Lake Trout. The Salmon make up the bulk of our catch. They are spectacular fighters that often take to the air in hopes of throwing the hook, it is a truly awesome sight. Salmon we catch can range in size from 8 inches to 8 pounds with the bulk of the catch around 2-3 pounds each and a few 4-6 pounders that are real trophies mixed in. The rainbow trout we catch are often between 13 and 24 inches weighing on average 2.5 pounds with some 4 pound or bigger trophies now and then. The lake trout in lake Winnipesaukee inhabit the lakes deep cold waters and sometimes grow to enormous sizes topping 20 pounds. Although fish of this size are a very rare catch, they are in there, making you always wonder, “WHAT IF?” Many that we catch are 18-24 inches and weigh 3-4 pounds but this year we have caught them as long as 31 inches and weighing 11 pounds!
